On Friday, BCCI announced the India squad that includes spin all-rounder Krunal Pandya, pacer Prasidh Krishna, and batsman Suryakumar Yadav in the India ODI squad 3 ODI match series against England.
The three players recently earned their India squad on consistent performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the country’s leading domestic List A competition.
Krunal Pandya finished as Baroda’s top run-scorer for the tournament with 388 runs in his five innings, averaging 129.33 and a strike rate of 117.93. He will replace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI for first-choice, who is still recovering from thumb surgery.
Prasidh Krishna grabbed 14 wickets for Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with an impressive average of 22.21. For a long time, he has been on the selectors’ radar for his long stature and pace.
After an impressive T20I debut Suryakumar Yadav comes after a consistent domestic performance as selectors gave him the first ODI call against England. The right-handed batsman scored 332 runs for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at an average of 66.40 and scored with a strike rate of 151.59.

Apart from all three, India has also brought Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar back into their ODI squad and removed Manish Pandey, Mayank Agarwal, Sanju Samson from the team after the ODI series against Australia in November last year.
Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also making a comeback in the team after proving his form and fitness through the T20I series. He will lead the pace attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah (rested) and Mohammed Shami (injured).
