A skilful seaming all-rounder, Lewis Gregory has been a stellar figure in the Somerset line-up over the years. As a pacer, he’s capable of moving the ball both ways and can be particularly deadly on pitches that offer some movement. With the bat, Gregory is fully capable of batting as high as six or seven in the order, given his penchant to occupy the crease and unleash big shots at will. It’s the power game that has enhanced his reputation as a quality all-rounder. Of course, he isn’t quick enough to trouble batsmen on flatter surfaces but has the control to keep things tight and as mentioned above, is well- equipped to capitalize on conditions that have an iota of movement in them.
