Hampshire Women have qualified for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup final following a 194-run eliminator victory over Surrey Women at the Utilita Bowl on September 16.
Maia Bouchier anchored the Hampshire innings with an unbeaten 117 off 122 balls. The performance marked her third century in September and her fifth of the 2026 season. Surrey County Cricket Club noted that “Bouchier followed her 115 against The Blaze with a brilliant 114 not out, to make it three hundreds in September,” though the official scorecard recorded her final total at 117*.
Hampshire reached 303/5 after two century partnerships. Abi Norgrove scored 60 off 54 balls, while Freya Kemp added 77 from 63 deliveries.
In response, Surrey were dismissed for 109 in 26.3 overs. Amanda-Jade Wellington claimed 5 for 19 in 6.3 overs, bringing her 2026 season wicket tally to 37. The 194-run margin is the largest in a knockout match in the history of the competition.
Surrey captain Kira Chathli left the field with an injury during the Hampshire innings but returned to bat at number 11. She was the final wicket to fall, stumped by Wellington for 6.
Hampshire advance to face The Blaze in the final on Saturday, September 19, at the Utilita Bowl. Hampshire previously lost the 2025 final to Lancashire.
