ICC is yet to take action, but it is reported that Harmanpreet may receive four demerit points. Three points for equipment damage and one point for publicly criticizing the match officials.

If a player accumulates four or more demerit points within 24 months, they face suspension. Two suspension points result in a ban from one Test or two ODIs or two T20Is.

If Harmanpreet is banned, she will miss two matches in the upcoming white-ball series against South Africa in September-October this year.
