Jemimah Rodrigues requires little introduction. The Indian women team star has not looked back since making her maiden international call in 2018. She earned the call after a prolific domestic season scoring 1013 runs at an average of 112.56 in the inter-state Under-19 competition, including an unbeaten 202 runs. She also picked up 19 wickets with her off spin.
Jemimah is now one of the most important members of the Indian team. In 2018, she contributed in India’s march to the semifinal of the Women’s World T20 in Caribbeans.
She broke into the top five batter of the T20I ranking towards the end of 2019. Earlier this year, the right-handed batter helped team India make it to their first-ever T20 World Cup final in Australia. The competition ended on a bad note for the Women in Blue as Australia thrashed them by 85 runs in the final.
Jemimah started the competition on a good note but failed to perform well in the follow up games.
Coming to Jemimah Rodrigues’ live session, among the fans, one asked her to name the male captain under whom she would like to play. And the cricket star had little difficulty in exposing the name of the captain as she stated she would like to play under MS Dhoni.
