On Thursday, India Legends Captain Sachin Tendulkar hailed the “competitive spirit” of the Indian and West Indies Legends teams in the Road Safety World Series T20. The Tendulkar-led India legends reach the final after beating the West Indies by 12 runs on Wednesday. India and the West Indies Legends score 424 runs in the game between, but Tendulkar said the competitive spirit that 22 men showed stood out for him. “More than the 424 runs scored in this game, I think it was the competitive spirit with which the teams played today that stood out. Brilliant effort from all 22 men,” Tendulkar tweeted.

The match between Lara and Tendulkar was the most anticipated match of any of the tournaments.
Chasing 219 to win, the West Indies were restricted to 206 for 6 in 20 overs by India. With 24 in 12 balls, Indian seamers Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan bowled their hearts out to help India win.
In response, the West Indies Legends showed great fight but were defeated by 12 runs. Dwayne Smith (63), Narasimha Devan (59), and Captain Brian Lara (46) played a key inning but failed to keep their side above the finish line.
Yuvi, dubbed “Player of the Match,” said he was lucky when Nagamutu dropped one of his sitters into the game. The left-handed attacking batsman said he was just waiting for the spinners to go into the match for the whole of Monty.
Earlier, Tendulkar’s half-century and Yuvraj’s thrilling 20-ball 49 including 6 sixes and a four, India posted 218 for 3 in 20 overs.
In addition to the main strokes of Tendulkar and Yuvraj, Sehwag (35), Yusuf Pathan (37), and Mohammad Kaif (27) also contributed with the bat.
Yuvraj and Yousuf destroyed the West Indies Legends with an onslaught in the death overs with some big hits.
The classy left arm hit 6 sixes in the last two overs. In the 19th over, Yuvraj Singh hit Nagamutu over the rope for four sixes, while the next two came in Suleiman Benn’s final over.
