India dominates UAE in ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023
The second day of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 featured two matches. In the third game, India emerged victorious against United Arab Emirates (UAE) with an 8-wicket win. Meanwhile, Pakistan defeated Nepal in the fourth match.
India vs UAE
India put on a dominant performance against UAE at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground. Choosing to bowl first, India restricted UAE to 175/9 in 50 overs. UAE struggled to form partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. Aryansh Sharma was the top scorer with 46 runs, while Ashwant Valthapa contributed 38 runs. Harshit Rana was the standout bowler for India, taking four wickets for 41 runs. India comfortably chased down the target, reaching 179/2 in just 26.3 overs, thanks to a magnificent century by captain Yash Dhull.
Pakistan vs Nepal
In the fourth match, Pakistan faced Nepal at the Colombo Cricket Club Ground. Nepal batted first and managed to post a total of 179 runs before being all out in 37 overs. Sompal Kami was the standout performer for Nepal with 75 runs. Mohammad Wasim and Shahnawaz Dahani shone with the ball for Pakistan, taking four and five wickets respectively. Pakistan chased down the target with 17 balls to spare, securing a victory by 4 wickets. Tayyab Tahir played a crucial role with 51 runs.
