Australia A Women have clinched the three-match unofficial T20 series against India A with a game to spare, recording a 30-run victory in the second match on September 15, 2026. The result gives the visitors an unassailable 2-0 lead heading into the final fixture in Mullanpur.
Opening batter Katie Mack was the standout performer for Australia A, scoring an unbeaten 83 off 60 balls. Her knock, which featured 11 boundaries, allowed Australia A to post a total of 178 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium.
India A’s chase was undermined by a top-order collapse, sliding to 54/5 inside the first nine overs. Milly Illingworth led the bowling effort with figures of 2/13, while Frankie Nicklin claimed 2/36 to stifle the hosts’ progress during the Powerplay and middle overs.
Niki Prasad delivered a notable all-round performance in a losing cause. After returning bowling figures of 2/41 earlier in the day, Prasad scored 54 not out from 31 deliveries. Despite her late-innings charge, the required run rate remained out of reach due to the lack of early-order partnerships.
Anushka Sharma, captaining India A in the T20 format, saw her side fall to a second consecutive defeat following Australia A’s six-wicket win in the series opener on September 12. The final T20 is scheduled for September 17 at the same venue.
The tour will subsequently move to Mohali for three unofficial ODIs beginning September 20, followed by a one-off Test in Dharamsala. Yastika Bhatia is scheduled to take over the captaincy for the 50-over and red-ball portions of the multi-format assignment.
